Consultation, Survey & Supply
The Great Blakenham EFW (energy from waste) lockout requirement was first established by a member of our team visiting the site for consultation with the client (SITA) and survey of requirements.
During this phase, all types of machinery and equipment isolations were review and discussed to establish the most appropriate lockout tagout hardware required.
A selection of lockout devices were presented to the customer and it was discussed how the system could be kept as simple as possible while at the same type providing the necessary layer of safety required.
An open tender process followed and Total Lockout were successful in winning the order to supply the equipment.
The site plant manager commented as follows:
“From very early in our project at Suffolk EFW, Great Blakenham, Total Lockout were great to work with. They were very proactive, but also very patient and worked with the pace of our project. Their site visit and demonstration was a key motivator in our decision to award them the contract, as we were able to get our hands on the kit and see the quality first hand. Total Lockout staff worked very hard and got our order priced and processed very quickly, ensuring that everything arrived just in time for our first outage. All of the kit, from padlocks and isolating devices to key and card safes, are of the highest quality, and our Outage benefited greatly for it”.
