Description
Introducing the Windy Windlass, an innovative new hand tool designed to make it easier to open and close the paddles on canal lock gates.It's a well known problem that the lock gate paddles can be tiresome to open and close. If the lock is full of water, the water pressure on the paddles can increase the effort needed.
A traditional windlass does a decent job in the hands of able bodied users, but if you're struggling with any kind of ailment in your arms or shoulders it can be difficult.
The Windy Windlass incorporates special gearing to reduce the effort required to turn the crank.
The kit incorporates:

- 1 x 28mm Square Drive Adaptor
